RAZUM - Intelligent Construction
Case
We’re sharing a recent case study — the launch of a QMonitoring pilot at a RAZUM construction site. The first step was to determine whether the platform could be deployed using the client’s existing cameras and deliver measurable results quickly.
Challenge
The goal was to optimize the implementation budget and launch the system using the client’s existing equipment, without lengthy procurement or installation processes.
The main challenge was finding the right balance between the number and quality of alerts — avoiding unnecessary notifications for operational teams while still maintaining effective safety and site monitoring.
What we did:
Adjusted video stream parameters to match the capabilities of the existing cameras;
Fine-tuned the neural network thresholds to reduce unnecessary alerts;
Defined safe zones and established a dedicated working group for operational monitoring.
Results:
The number of recorded violations decreased from 100 to 20 cases per month within the first two months;
Worker and contractor discipline improved through regular automated notifications to management;
A dedicated working group was established, operating procedures were tested, and contractor-related policies and documentation were updated;
Part of the implementation costs was offset by penalties imposed for detected violations.
As a result, detection accuracy increased to 95%, while system performance became more stable across varying lighting and weather conditions. The developer’s feedback in the article speaks for itself.
